Guide to rectifying computer faults

Computer remains, as at today, the singular most used aid instrument or equipment invented by man. Other than it visibility in all facet of our lives, the fact of this is further reinforced by the fact of some of the personalities involved in it manufacture, domestication and  commercialization having been for over half a decade, amongst  the top three wealthiest men in the world.

What however, seems the irony in it popular acceptance and use is the fact that majority of the persons who are proficient in it use, almost always knows next to nothing about how to manipulate it to get the best of performance from it. Many a persons in this category, surprisingly, cannot trouble shoot; even for the simplest of challenges like inefficiency of processes, like booting.

But with little education, we discover that part of the aspect of what seems out of the know-how of so many and for which so much money and are spent on engineers plus the down time—discounting it cost implication- between when the problem pops up and when the engineer either finally arrives or it is taken to him, to corrects it , are to all intents and purposes, BASIC; that they are problems that could be easily fixed by the user if only a little time and, may be, resources was devoted to understanding it through information gathering and application.  For instance, take,

BOOTING THE COMPUTER FASTER— everyone who has experienced slow start up of the computer system knows how frustratingly annoying and distressing it can be when as much as five minutes or even more is idled away waiting for it to read up the start up files and then some needless files that have been installed as start up files.  And even at that, in some cases, it still, after start up continues booting for indeterminate time that one is forced to restart it again and again!.

As has already being stated here, the problem in most cases has to do with the numbers of files that has been added as start up files, or, temporary files and other such burdening acts. In some cases, it might be the RAM.

And as it is with slow booting, SO IS WITH FORMATTING.  This is a permanent cure for problems like viruses which in some cases might be responsible for the slow booting process.  Another reason for formatting computer is to reallocates the hard drive space or to clean it of remnants of files that might have been uninstalled but that has stubbornly attached it itself to the computer and more importantly, to prepare it for the kind of operating system we intend to use.  The hard drive is easily the most important component in the computer; for it holds all the data stored in it including system files and therefore, requires attention because any of the file can cause it to malfunction, thereby causing general slowness in running.

It is therefore, not just necessary to ensure it remains in optimal working conditions through monitoring of what goes into for storing but also, by SPEEDING IT UP to perform it given task more effectively and efficiently.

There is really nothing to formatting a computer. It is more like preparing your normal flash drive, for use.  The more important is FORMATTING A CRASHED HARD DRIVE BACK TO LIFE.

In all cases, there are three routes available:

USING A BOOTABLE FLOPPY MSDOS WHICH STANDS FOR MICROSOFT DISK OPERATING SYSTEM DISK ; OR BY THE USE OF THE COMPUTER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IN WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM BY THE USE OF INSTALLER CD OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM

It bears repeating that becoming a basic computer engineer: FORMATTING A HARD DRIVE, BOOTING THE COMPUTER FASTER, STARTING IT IN A SAFE MODE OR QUICK MODE,  RESTORING FILES DELETED FROM THE RECYCLE BIN, SPEEDING UP THE COMPUTER ON START-UP OR EVEN SEARCHING THE INTERNET EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY AND SPEEDING UP COMPUTER HARD DRIVE SPEEDING UP THE COMPUTER ON START-UP GETTING RID OF A COMPUTER VIRUS:  TRACKING THE AMOUNT OF INTERNET TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE , requires just A basic knowledge of the internal mechanism of the computer and this is not really difficult.  It is teachable. And it is learnable.  Even to the person who is coming in contact with the computer for the first time. Yeah! That is how easy it is.

Now, dwelling on the hard drive and it speed up, the standard recommendation from the engineers about the slowness of the system is usually for you to buy a bigger capacity drive but the truth is that the bigger the drive the more the slowness as the tendency to store more files would remember the opening process for files involves the system reading all files that predates the particular file it has been instructed to open and in some cases, those after it.  Imagine the scenario. So the best option and most intelligent thing to do in trying to speed up the drive would not be to increase it capacity.

This piece is already becoming too long for the subject matter but Again and again, one says that it is not too difficult to become a basic repairer of computer faults, and why? You already know. And for that an eBook has already being prepared.

An easy, I mean the easiest I know, simple to follow eBook or otherwise on the subject of fault correction in computer covering the above underlined topics, and more. The simplicity of it is by the fact that it moves from heading to the list of materials needed for each operation straight on to the processes—in itemized format. No introduction. No needless preamble for each topic. No red carpet. That is, the main thing devoid of any needless jargons.
